FRSC deploys 1,889 personnel for Eid-el-Kabir

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed 1,889 personnel across Kano State as part of a special patrol operation ahead of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

The command said the move was aimed at ensuring safety on the roads, reducing accidents, and easing traffic flow during the Sallah period.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Kano Sector Command Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Labaran.According to him, both regular and special marshals have been mobilised for the exercise, which is expected to run from May 25 to May 31.

“The special patrol is part of routine operational measures introduced during festive periods when there is usually high traffic volume on major roads,” the statement said.

The Kano Sector Commander, Idris Lawal, said the operation is designed to prevent road crashes and save lives during the celebration.
