Four die, eight injured in Ogun car crash

A lone crash involving a Toyota Hiace bus around Christopher University, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Mowe, Ogun State, on Sunday, reportedly left four people dead and eight injured.

The accident occurred at about 9:18 p.m. when a bus carrying 13 people, suspected to have been travelling at high speed, suffered a burst tyre, leading to the crash.

The spokesperson for the Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Afolabi Odunsi-Oyewole, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Monday.

Odunsi-Oyewole said the injured were immediately evacuated to Famobis Hospital for urgent medical attention, while the deceased had been deposited at the Idera Morgue.

He explained, “The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Akinwunmi Fasakin, regrettably wishes to inform the general public of the lone crash which claimed four lives.
