City boys are afraid – Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour
Former Lagos State governorship candidate of the Labour Party, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has dismissed criticisms of the ongoing online registration drive by the African Democratic Congress, ADC, describing attempts to mock the exercise as “laughable.”
This is as he said detractors were resorting to a “coping mechanism” in response to what he described as the growing number of ordinary Nigerians registering with the opposition party.
Posting on X, he highlighted that the online registration process marks just the first stage of membership enrollment, pointing out that validation at the ward level is the crucial step in confirming party affiliation.
“The actual confirmation takes place at the ward level. That’s how structure works. That’s how credibility is built,” he stated.
Rhodes-Vivour noted that it would be interesting to see prominent political figures validate their membership within their respective wards, suggesting such appearances would generate significant public attention.
