ASUU strike: Lecturer blasts FG over no-work-no-pay threat




Dr John Ogi, a senior lecturer with Moses Adasu University, Makurdi, Benue State has slammed the Federal Government over plans to stop the remuneration of the striking lecturers.

DAILY POST reports that the Federal Government on Sunday warned that the industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, which begins today, Monday, will trigger the enforcement of no-work-no-pay policy.

Reacting, Ogi in a chat with DAILY POST on Sunday, said the threat by the federal government is “not just unreasonable but also insensitive”.

The don, who urged the government to stop treating university teachers as Almajiris, blamed some unfavorable policies of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration on poor advice.
