New York Mets bring back Free Agent Pete Alonso on a two-year, $54 million deal

Latest big signing - the New York Mets signed first baseman Pete Alonso to a two-year, $54 million deal with an opt-out after year one. Alonso will make $30 million this season and $24 million in 2026 if he elects to not opt out of the deal.
